Affiliates

How it works
A client becomes an affiliate from the Affiliate tab on their profile, or by turning it on themselves in their client area (Affiliate). They get a personal link. Visitors who arrive through the link and later order are recorded as referrals, and commission is earned on their orders.
Settings
In General Settings > Affiliates:
- Affiliate Earning Percentage: the default commission.
- Affiliate Commission Delay: days a commission stays pending before it becomes available (so refunds do not leave you out of pocket).
- Affiliate Bonus Deposit: a one-off bonus for the referrer.
- Affiliate Payout Amount: the minimum balance that can be paid out.
- Payout Request Department: the support department that receives payout requests.
- Affiliate Link: the link format shown to affiliates.
Each product has an Affiliate Pay Amount on its Other tab: use the default, a percentage, a fixed amount, or no commission.
Commission status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Earned, waiting out the delay |
| Available | Can be paid out |
| Paid | Paid |
| Void | Cancelled |
A daily job (affiliates:release-matured) moves matured commission from pending to available. Affiliates also receive a monthly report by email.
Pay an affiliate
Open Clients > Affiliates and choose the affiliate. You can:
- Pay the available balance after you have paid them outside WHBMP (Record External Payout),
- Pay to credit: add the available commission to the client's account credit,
- change the affiliate's status (active or suspended).
An affiliate can request a payout from their area. The request goes to the payout department as a ticket.
Tips
- Set a commission delay longer than your refund window.
- Review referrals before paying a large balance.
