Managing clients
Oct 15, 2026
Open Clients > All Clients. Use Add Client to create one by hand. Most clients are created automatically when they order.
Client statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Normal |
| Inactive | Has no active services (can be updated automatically) |
| Pending | Waiting for something such as email verification |
| Suspended | Blocked |
| Fraud | Marked as fraud |
You can let WHBMP set Active and Inactive by itself and delete long-inactive clients, in Automation Settings. Suspended, fraud and pending clients are never changed automatically.
The client profile
The profile page has a summary and tabs.
Summary: first and last name, signup date, client group, client for how many months, last login, whether the owner's email is verified, and tables of Products/Services, Domains and notes. Buttons: Create Order, Create Invoice, Add Funds and Edit Details.
Details you can edit: first name, last name, company name (optional), email address, address, city, state, postal code, country, phone number, tax ID, client group, payment method (overrides the global default for this client) and billing contact.
Email preferences: the client can switch off general, invoice, support, product, domain and affiliate emails. You can set these for them too.
Late fees and overdue notices: switch off per client.
Contacts
Add extra contacts to a client (an accountant, a technical contact) with their own email address and the kinds of email they receive. The billing contact receives invoices.
Notes
Add private staff notes. Clients never see them.
Add funds
Add Funds records money that has already arrived and is not an invoice. It needs the amount, the payment method, the transaction ID and the date of payment, and adds the credit to the account at once. When a client adds funds in their own area, their reported payment waits on Billing > Transactions until you press Confirm payment.
Bulk actions
On the profile, select services and domains and choose With Selected to invoice or delete them.
Sign in as the client
Use the sign-in-as-client option on a profile to see their area exactly as they do. A banner reminds you that you are impersonating them.
Client type and registration details
A client is an individual or a company. The optional and locked profile fields are controlled in General Settings > Ordering.
Deleting a client
Deleting removes the record from WHBMP. Terminate or move services first and keep invoices for your tax records. Consider marking the client inactive instead.
Client team members
You can add team members to a client account. Signing in as a team member is not available yet.
