Changing the admin path

The admin area is at /admin by default. Moving it to an address only you know stops bots from finding the sign-in page.

Change it

1. Open the .env file in the application folder (File Manager or SSH).

2. Set ADMIN_PATH to the new segment, for example:

   ADMIN_PATH=office-9x3k
   

3. Clear the cache:

   php artisan optimize:clear
   

   If you have no SSH access, delete the files starting with config and routes in bootstrap/cache.

4. The admin area is now at https://your-domain.com/office-9x3k. The old /admin address returns a plain 404, so it does not reveal that an admin panel exists.

Notes

• This is deliberately a server-side setting. There is no screen for it in the admin area.
• A path cannot be the same as a public section, such as order, cart, checkout, client, status, knowledgebase or docs.
• Tell your staff the new address and update any bookmarks and monitoring.
• If you forget it, read ADMIN_PATH in .env.
