Migrating from WHMCS
Oct 15, 2026
The Migration from WHMCS plugin imports your existing data into WHBMP.
What is imported
Clients, services, domains, invoices, transactions and products.
How it works
You provide a database dump from WHMCS. The plugin restores it into a temporary staging database on your server. It is never parsed as text. It then maps the data to WHBMP's tables and copies it over. The migration run has statuses (pending, mapping, running, completed, failed) and a log of what happened.
Before you start
- Make a backup of WHBMP. See Backups and restore.
- Export the WHMCS database as a
.sqldump. - Make sure the database user WHBMP uses may create a temporary database.
- Import on a copy of your site first if you can.
Steps
- Install and activate the plugin and open it from the Plugins menu.
- Upload or point to the dump.
- Review the mapping (products, currencies, payment methods and so on).
- Start the import and watch the log.
- Check clients, invoices and services, and compare totals with WHMCS.
After the import
- Customers' passwords from WHMCS keep working: imported password hashes are verified when a client signs in.
- Recheck tax rules, gateways, email templates and servers. They are not part of the import.
- Terminate nothing on the servers; WHBMP only records services it imports.
- Switch the cron job and DNS to the new system when you are satisfied.
Not supported
