Current limitations

WHBMP never pretends something worked. If a feature is not built, the interface says so. This page lists the things you might expect that are not available yet, so there are no surprises.

Billing

• Online payments need each gateway set up and tested by you. All 13 gateways charge through the gateway's own page, but each was built against the gateway's documentation and fake answers, not a live account here, so pay a small test invoice in the gateway's sandbox before going live. See Payment gateways and recording payments.
• Automatic charging works with Stripe, PayPal and Braintree only. The other gateways cannot save a payment method without charging the client. See Automatic payments.
• Renewal invoices are created by the automation only when you turn it on. Turn on Create Renewal Invoices Automatically in Automation Settings; it covers services and domains. Domains are invoiced for one year at a time, and the registrar renewal after payment depends on a working registrar module. See Renewals.
• Automatic Subscription Management (General Settings > Invoices) is a placeholder for the future gateway subscription feature and does nothing today.
• Refunds return money through the gateway only for payments the gateway took through WHBMP. Choose Original gateway on such a payment. A payment you recorded by hand, or a refund of type Manual or Account Credit, is only recorded in WHBMP; you send the money back yourself.

Servers and platforms

• cPanel/WHM and DirectAdmin account automation has been tested against real servers.
• Plesk, Webuzo and Namecrane Mail connectors use the vendors' documented APIs.
• Hetzner Cloud, Proxmox VE and Virtualizor (VPS) use documented endpoints but have not been tested against a running platform. Test with one order before selling.
• The VPS modules have no backup or snapshot support and no CPU, memory or bandwidth usage graphs. Reboot, start, stop, reinstall and console are on the service page.
• Disk and bandwidth usage for hosting accounts appears after a server sync and is not shown until then.
• OVH, Netcup and bare-metal power control are not built.

Domains

• OpenProvider has been tested live. ResellerClub uses the documented API. Test a registration on a cheap TLD before launch.

Clients

• Team members can be added to a client account but cannot sign in yet.
• Importing from HostBill is not built. Importing from WHMCS is. See Migrating from WHMCS.

Page Builder

Theme upload, a page for each language and per-breakpoint editing are not built. Pages are drawn from sections, and there is no free-form layout editor.

Other

• Webhooks are sent once and not retried.
• The mobile app and the REST API are read-oriented: the REST API has only read endpoints.
