The cron job does not seem to run

Symptom: Automation Settings says "No run has ever been recorded", reminders never go out and updates are never found.

Check:

1. Copy the exact command from Settings > Automation Settings. It already has the right PHP path.
2. Use the command-line PHP, not the web one (php-fpm or lsphp cannot run artisan).
3. The job must run as the user that owns the site files.
4. Run the command by hand over SSH, without >> /dev/null, and read any error.
5. Set it to every 5 minutes (*/5 * * * *).
