• Reserved address: a top-level category can no longer take the address of the client area, even when it was changed from /client to another word in WHBMP 2.44.0.

Improvements

• Knowledgebase banner: the banner at the top of a Knowledgebase category now uses the navy and teal of the WHBMP logo instead of blue and purple.
• Knowledgebase search: the search box is a solid white field with a magnifier icon and a Search button. It was hard to see and read before.

Notes

• Needs WHBMP 2.42.1: the new colours are part of the site's stylesheet, which comes with that version.

New Features

• Translated screens: The screens of this plugin are available in Spanish, German, French and Arabic, following the language each staff member chooses in the admin portal (and the language of the client for client-facing pages). Arabic is shown right to left.

Notes

• Translations: The translations are a first draft written by machine. They are part of WHBMP 2.18.0; on an older WHBMP the screens stay in English.

New Features

• Several languages: A post (title, excerpt, body and the SEO title and description), a category (name, description and SEO text) and a tag can be written in every language you switched on in WHBMP. A post, category or tag edit page shows Other Languages tabs; a visitor reading the site in another language sees the text written for that language, and the default-language text where there is none. The web address stays the same in every language.

Notes

• Requirements: Needs WHBMP 2.17.0 or later.
• Search: The search words of a category page are looked up in the default-language text.
• Languages: The wording around the posts (Read more, Archive, filters, the knowledgebase search box and so on) is still in English; it is translated in a following release.

Improvements

• Docs style: the navigation tree on the left now has a thin scrollbar and some spacing, so long titles such as "Installing on CloudPanel and nginx" are no longer cut off.

New Features

• Category pages: Each category can now be shown in its own page style — Blog, Announcements, Knowledgebase, Docs or the Simple list. Sub-categories use their parent's style unless you pick another.
• Blog style: Posts appear as cards in a 1, 2, 3 or 4 column grid, with an optional sidebar listing sub-categories, tags and a search box.
• Announcements style: A dated timeline, newest first, with a month archive in the sidebar.
• Knowledgebase style: A search-first help centre with sub-category tiles showing article counts and the newest articles.
• Docs style: A navigation tree of the whole section on the left, with the current category's articles on the right.

Improvements

• Search and tags: Visitors can filter any category page by tag, month or search words.
• Categories: The category list shows each category's page style.

New Features

• CMS: A real content management system — categories, tags, SEO fields, and a full classic (TinyMCE) editor, publishing at real URLs like /category/sub-category/post-slug.
