cPanel/WHM

Sell cPanel hosting and let WHBMP run the accounts for you. When an order is paid, the account is created on your WHM server. When an invoice goes overdue, it is suspended. When the service ends, it is removed. Nobody has to open WHM.

cPanel/WHM is built into WHBMP, so there is nothing to install.

What it does

• Creates accounts on your WHM server as soon as an order is accepted or paid, using the package you choose on the product.
• Suspends and unsuspends accounts automatically for overdue invoices, and by hand from the service page.
• Terminates accounts when a service is cancelled or reaches its termination date. This removes the account and its data for good, so WHBMP asks you to confirm when you do it by hand.
• Changes the package when a client upgrades or downgrades, so the limits on the server follow the plan they pay for.
• Shows your real packages: the product page lists the packages that exist on the server, so you pick one instead of typing a name and hoping it matches.
• One-click sign-in: staff and clients can open the cPanel account from the service page without typing a password.
• cPHulk unblock: remove a blocked IP from WHM's brute-force protection. This also powers the Client IP Unblock plugin.
• Works with a plain WHM account and with reseller accounts.

Setting up

1. In WHM, create an API token for the account WHBMP will use.
2. In WHBMP, go to Settings > Servers, add a server of type cPanel/WHM and enter the hostname and token. The default API port is 2087.
3. Press Test Connection. Then pick the server and a package on a product.

Good to know

• Passwords are sent to WHM in the body of the request, never in a web address, so they stay out of access logs.
• If a token is limited to some WHM functions, WHM may refuse others. WHBMP shows WHM's own message instead of a generic error.
• If an action fails, it appears under pending module actions so you can retry it.
