DirectAdmin

Sell DirectAdmin hosting and let WHBMP create, suspend and remove the accounts for you. DirectAdmin is built into WHBMP, so there is nothing to install.

What it does

• Creates accounts on your DirectAdmin server when an order is paid, using a package that exists under your reseller account.
• Suspends and unsuspends accounts for overdue invoices, automatically or from the service page.
• Terminates accounts when a service is cancelled or expires. DirectAdmin has no undo, so confirm before you do it by hand.
• Changes the package when a client upgrades or downgrades.
• Lists your real packages on the product page, so you choose one instead of typing it.
• Sign-in links that open the account's DirectAdmin panel from the service page.

Setting up

1. In DirectAdmin, create a login key for your reseller (or admin) account.
2. In WHBMP, go to Settings > Servers, add a server of type DirectAdmin and enter the hostname, username and login key. The default port is 2222.
3. Press Test Connection, then choose the server and package on a product.

Good to know

• The connection test only reads your own account's settings, so it changes nothing on the server and works for admin, reseller and user logins.
• A login key is safer than a password because you can limit what it may do, and you can remove it at any time.
• Failed actions are listed under pending module actions so you can retry them.
