Bug Fixes

• Mobile app receipts: the receipt link opened by the phone's viewer now also checks the installation's licence, like every other mobile page.

New Features

• Translated screens: The screens of this plugin are available in Spanish, German, French and Arabic, following the language each staff member chooses in the admin portal (and the language of the client for client-facing pages). Arabic is shown right to left.

Notes

• Translations: The translations are a first draft written by machine. They are part of WHBMP 2.18.0; on an older WHBMP the screens stay in English.

New Features

• Finance & Expenses: the plugin is now called Finance & Expenses. It shows what you earn from paid invoices next to what you spend, in your main currency.
• Overview: cards for income and spending this month and this financial year, each compared with last month or last year, a Tax charged card (only while you charge tax), where the money went by category, the last six months, and the bills still to pay.
• Income: every invoice that is paid counts as income, automatically, with the tax included. Invoices in other currencies are converted at the rate on Settings > Currencies.
• Vendors: keep the people and companies you pay. A vendor has the currency it bills in, its usual category, whether it charges tax and how much, and whether it charges a commission with tax on it. Choose a vendor on an expense and the currency, category, tax and commission fill in, and the amount is split into the purchase, its tax and the commission. A vendor can be switched off to stop offering it in the lists; what was paid to it still counts.
• Expenses in other currencies: every expense keeps the amount you paid and its value in your main currency, which is what the totals add up. The value is filled in from Settings > Currencies and marked as an estimate until you enter the real one.
• Recurring bills: a recurring bill now appears as a bill to pay when it comes due and counts as an estimate until you mark it paid with the real date and amount. Overdue bills are flagged on the Overview and the dashboard, and a bill that does not apply this time can be skipped.
• Tax: when your Tax Settings charge tax, an expense can note the tax inside its amount, and the rates offered come from your tax rules. If you do not charge tax, no tax fields or cards appear.
• Categories: a category can be marked as not a cost, for payments such as tax paid to the government or money you take out of the business. They are still expenses, but they are not counted in what the business spends. Two such categories are added.
• Dashboard: three cards for the top row: Spent this month, Tax charged this month and Bills overdue. Each can be switched on or off in Dashboard Setup. Needs WHBMP 2.5.0.
• Mobile app: the WHBMP Admin App (1.9.0) shows income and tax charged on the overview, lets you pick a vendor on an expense, enter the value of a foreign expense, and mark a bill paid.

Improvements

• Gateway Fees: the fee booked from each payment now also has its value in your main currency, shows in All Expenses as an automatic expense, and cannot be edited by hand.
• All Expenses: shows the tax and commission inside an amount, can be filtered by vendor, and shows bills that are due or overdue.

Notes

• Requirements: Needs WHBMP 2.5.0 or newer.
• Updating: On update, expenses in another currency get a value in your main currency from the rates on Settings > Currencies, marked as an estimate until you enter the real value. Vendor names already typed on expenses are added to Vendors.
• Settings: Whether tax is tracked follows Settings > Tax Settings.

New Features

• Mobile app: The WHBMP Admin App can now show the Expenses overview, browse and search expenses, add, edit and delete them, and attach a receipt from the camera, the gallery or a file such as a PDF. It appears in the app only while this plugin is active, and only for staff with the Expenses permission.

Improvements

• Expenses: Receipts are kept in the folder chosen under Settings > File Storage. Needs WHBMP 2.2.0 or newer.

New Features

• Expenses: Track business expenses by category, schedule recurring ones, and have payment gateway fees (a percentage plus a fixed amount) calculated automatically on every payment.

• Updates: Installed and updated in one click from the Plugins page, straight from the license store.
