Send automatic SMS messages to your clients through MSG91 when something happens on their account: a new order, a paid invoice, an invoice reminder, a new ticket and more.

What it does

  • Sends on events: order created, invoice paid, invoice reminders and new tickets, each of which you can switch on or off.
  • Works with DLT: India requires approved message templates. Map each event to the approved MSG91 Flow ID, and WHBMP sends through your own flows.
  • Logs every message: see what was sent, to whom, and MSG91's own answer if it failed.
  • Test button: send a test message from the settings page and get MSG91's real response, not a generic "it didn't work".

Setting up

  1. In MSG91, create your SMS flows and get them approved, then copy your Auth Key.
  2. In WHBMP, open Plugins > MSG91 SMS and enter the Auth Key.
  3. For each event, enter the Flow ID and turn it on.

Good to know

  • You need your own MSG91 account and approved flows. WHBMP never writes the approved text for you.
  • Only one SMS provider (MSG91, Twilio or Vonage) should be active at a time.
  • Clients need a phone number on file to receive a message.

    Make sure your WHBMP installation has an active license.

    In your WHBMP admin, go to Addons → Browse.

    Find MSG91 SMS Notifications and click Install, then Activate.

    Open the addon's settings from the Addons page to configure it.

  • Translated screens: The screens of this plugin are available in Spanish, German, French and Arabic, following the language each staff member chooses in the admin portal (and the language of the client for client-facing pages). Arabic is shown right to left.

Notes

  • Translations: The translations are a first draft written by machine. They are part of WHBMP 2.18.0; on an older WHBMP the screens stay in English.
