Web Push Notifications

Free

Addon for WHBMP - Web Hosting Business Management Platform · By WHBMP · Version 1.1.0

Get alerts in your browser for new orders and urgent tickets, even when the admin area is not open. It needs no app and no account with any other service.

What it does

  • Browser notifications for staff: a new order or an urgent ticket pops up on your desktop or phone.
  • Each person opts in from their own browser. Everyone who subscribed receives the alert.
  • You choose which events trigger a notification.
  • A test button sends a notification to every subscribed browser at once.
  • Self-cleaning: browsers that have unsubscribed are removed automatically.
  • Every send is logged.

Setting up

  1. Turn the plugin on and open Plugins > Web Push.
  2. In each browser that should receive alerts, allow notifications when asked.
  3. Choose the events and press the test button.

Good to know

  • Browsers only allow push notifications on a secure (https) site.
  • Notifications are for staff. Clients are not notified.

Version 1.1.0 · Oct 20, 2026

New Features

  • Translated screens: The screens of this plugin are available in Spanish, German, French and Arabic, following the language each staff member chooses in the admin portal (and the language of the client for client-facing pages). Arabic is shown right to left.

Notes

  • Translations: The translations are a first draft written by machine. They are part of WHBMP 2.18.0; on an older WHBMP the screens stay in English.

  • Web Push Notifications: Real browser push notifications for staff — new orders and urgent tickets, no app or extra channel needed.

Improvements

  • Updates: Installed and updated in one click from the Plugins page, straight from the license store.
