Move from WHMCS to WHBMP without retyping a client. Upload a copy of your WHMCS database and WHBMP imports your clients, products, services, domains, invoices and transactions.

How it works

  1. Export your WHMCS database (.sql or .sql.gz). A partial export of the main tables is enough.
  2. Upload it in the WHBMP admin area, or run the import from the command line for a very large database so a web timeout never interrupts it.
  3. WHBMP restores the dump into a temporary database on your own server and reads from that, instead of guessing at the SQL text. The temporary database is separate from your real one.
  4. Review the product mapping: import every product as new, or map them onto products you already created.
  5. Run the import and check the result.

Good to know

  • Your WHMCS installation is not touched. The import only reads your copy.
  • Try it on a test installation first and check a few clients, invoices and services before you go live.
  • The command-line import creates every WHMCS product as a new product. Use the web screen if you need to map onto existing ones.

    Make sure your WHBMP installation has an active license.

    In your WHBMP admin, go to Addons → Browse.

    Find Migration from WHMCS and click Install, then Activate.

    Open the addon's settings from the Addons page to configure it.

  • Translated screens: The screens of this plugin are available in Spanish, German, French and Arabic, following the language each staff member chooses in the admin portal (and the language of the client for client-facing pages). Arabic is shown right to left.

Notes

  • Translations: The translations are a first draft written by machine. They are part of WHBMP 2.18.0; on an older WHBMP the screens stay in English.
