Troubleshooting

Oct 15, 2026

Start with System > System Health. It finds most problems and tells you what to change. Then read storage/logs/laravel.log and Settings > System Logs.

Cannot sign in to the admin

  • Wrong address: the admin path is ADMIN_PATH in .env (default admin).

  • Locked out by the failed-login ban: wait for the ban time, or sign in from a whitelisted IP.

  • Forgot the password: use Forgot your password on the admin sign-in, or set one from the command line:

    php artisan tinker
    >>> $u = App\Models\User::where('email', '[email protected]')->first();
    >>> $u->password = bcrypt('NewStrongPassword'); $u->save();

  • Two-factor code lost: disable 2FA for the account directly in the database or ask another Super Admin to reset it.

"License invalid" or the admin is locked

Open System > License. Read the message. Typical causes: the domain or server IP changed, the license expired or the server cannot reach whbmp.com over HTTPS. See License and activation.

Nothing automatic happens

The cron job is not running. See Setting up the cron job.

Emails are not delivered

See Email and SMTP. Check the Mail log for failures.

An account was not created on the server

See Provisioning and pending module actions. The real reason is on Pending Module Actions.

A client says they cannot pay

Check, in this order: the gateway is switched on under Settings > Payment Gateways and Test Connection succeeds; the invoice is in the currency the gateway takes (Alipay: CNY, PayU: INR); and System Logs > Payment Gateway Logs for the gateway's own reason. If the client paid and the invoice is still unpaid, the gateway's webhook probably did not arrive: check the webhook address and secret on the gateway's card. See Payment gateways and recording payments.

Sidebar dropdowns open, buttons do nothing

livewire.min.js is a 404. See Installing on CloudPanel and nginx.

An update failed

  • Read the message on Settings > System Update. Fix the named problem and press update again.
  • If the site is stuck in maintenance mode, wait a few minutes for recovery, or run php artisan up.
  • To put the database back: php artisan whbmp:restore-database. See Updating.

"Class not found" or odd errors after an update

Run:

php artisan optimize:clear

and, if the site uses a PHP opcode cache, reload PHP-FPM.

Reinstall from scratch

Only on a site with nothing you want to keep. Use an empty database, delete storage/app/installed.lock and run the installer again at /install.

Ask for help

Open a ticket from your account at whbmp.com. Include the version, what you did, the error from storage/logs/laravel.log and the System Health report (there is a button that copies it).
