What is WHBMP

Oct 15, 2026

WHBMP (Web Hosting & Business Management Platform) is software you install on your own server to run a hosting business. It does the work that billing and automation platforms such as WHMCS do: it takes orders, creates the hosting accounts, sends invoices, records payments, suspends overdue services and answers support tickets.

You own the installation, the database and the customer data. Nothing is rented by the month from a third party, and no customer data leaves your server unless you connect a service that needs it, such as a payment gateway.

What is in the box

Area What it does
Clients Client records, contacts, notes, client groups, custom fields, affiliates and quotes.
Products and orders Product groups, products, configurable options, billing cycles, coupons, and a storefront with a one-page checkout.
Billing Invoices (PDF too), recorded payments, credit, refunds, tax, multiple currencies, late fees and reminders.
Services and servers Automatic account creation on cPanel/WHM and DirectAdmin (tested live), and connectors for Plesk, Webuzo and VPS platforms (Hetzner Cloud, Proxmox VE, Virtualizor). See Current limitations.
Domains Registration, renewal and transfer through ResellerClub or OpenProvider, with per-TLD pricing.
Support Tickets with departments, predefined replies, attachments, ratings, a knowledgebase and AI-drafted replies.
Client area A portal where customers pay invoices, manage services and domains, open tickets and add funds.
Automation One scheduled job (the cron job) creates invoices, sends reminders, suspends and terminates overdue services and more.
Plugins Payment gateways, registrars, servers, SMS and WhatsApp, fraud and CAPTCHA tools, a page builder, licensing and more, installed from the Plugins page.

How it is built

WHBMP is a Laravel 12 application written in PHP. It runs on ordinary shared cPanel hosting as well as on a VPS. It does not need Docker, Redis, Node.js or any background daemon on the server. Everything that has to happen later is run by one cron job.

Two kinds of users

  • You and your staff sign in to the admin area. Its address is /admin unless you changed it (see Changing the admin path). What each staff member can see is controlled by roles.
  • Your clients sign in to the client area, where they manage their own account.

Licensing

Each installation is activated with a license key from whbmp.com. The key is tied to your domain and server IP address. See License and activation.
